If I remove the button from my site because it may lead to my guests, I believe I ‘directory listed in the rice? I hope someone will answer some of the DMOZ who knows how things work on.

Hi,

I thought DMOZ was a good idea and submitted one of my sites to it. I was very naive and expected to be accepted. I even put the DMOZ button on that site as I was asked to do.

At that time I had no idea of the value of being listed there.
Does it make any sense to be waiting after 7 or 8 months?

I think that they don’t like it if one submits again even if it’s been so long and not a peep received from them about why the submission was not accepted or anything.

Should I remove the button from my site as it may lead my visitors to believe that I’m listed in the directory?

I hope somebody will reply to this who knows something about how things work with DMOZ.

Thanks god for good editors and that every site doesn’t get listed in dmoz, there are too much spammy directories, just to get PR and “authority”.

I also trying for months to get my site listed in DMOZ, why is it taking so long??

I have tried a few times with no luck. I actually want to help and post some great links in the directory, so it is kind of frustrating. But I understand why they do it.

i tried to get my site into dmoz , it took a while but did get in after some time.

The great thing is if everything is human edited then you dont get so many spam sites gettign through.
